Subject: Help Support Message From Moonbase Alpha

Hi all,

Well, here is what we can do to help ensure that "Message" is included on the A&E Year Two releases..

Scott Bosco (consultant for A&E's Space 1999 DVD releases) has offered to step in and act on our behalf, to help to ensure that "Message" is included..

He has created an e-mail account that will be used to receive letters of support in favor of "Message". The e-mails he receives, will be compiled and forwarded directly onto the decision makers at both Carlton and New Video.

The e-mail address is

alphamessage@yahoo.com

Please take the time to send an e-mail to this address in support of "Message". New Video are already VERY open to the idea of including "Message" on their Year Two DVD's. If a large enough show of support from the fans is presented to the decision makers, it may be an important factor in the final decision process.

Scott has told me that it is indeed possible to come up with solutions to all of the legalities that could hold back "Message" like the union rules and regulations etc, etc .

IMHO, never before in our fandom has anything been so important. I would like to see all of the Space 1999 related mailing lists band together just this one time, in a show of unity.

No Space 1999 release would be complete without "Message" which so many of us have come to accept as the 49th episode of the series, and because it also brought both some kind of closure to the series and at the same time left us hoping for a revival of the show.

Members of this mailing list who saw "Message" on Sept 13th 1999, already know exactly why it should be included. As Bob Wood said in his book, " Anyone who was there when we intercepted this message will tell you there wasn't a dry eye in the room. It was the most emotional group experience I have ever seen, and it was clearly so succesful because of the care and talent with which it was produced."

So please take a few minutes of your time to write, even if it's just a couple of lines because you CAN make a difference!

Alphanly Yours,

Jerry Scott

Géo Alliance International Inc., a Canadian company, has announced that they have joined forces with Carlton International Media Limited to publish high resolution Eagle II posters.

Based on Daniel Prud'homme's CAD plans, and generated from the most detailed 3D Eagle CGI model in existence, the first poster to be available in October 2001 will be printed in super high definition. The CGI model uses 3000 different mappings to give the Eagle a real appearance and with the print technology used, will allow the smallest detail to be seen.

Following that will be a second poster and then a third. For the third poster, the 3D CGI model will be online and fans will be invited to position it as they would like it to be seen on the 3rd poster. The results will then be published and the most favored position will be designed and printed. Future plans call for smaller posters and a video and DVD conveying how the Eagle might appear in a Space: 1999 movie.

The official Eagle II web site also includes the free computer wallpaper shown here.
